About Mariela

Ms. D’Alessio regularly meets with clients to implement a personalized and comprehensive estate plan, which often includes a Last Will and Testament, Living Will, Medical and Financial Powers of Attorney, and Trusts. In addition to the drafting of a client’s unique estate plan, Ms. D’Alessio is frequently retained to handle the administration of both estates and trusts and guardianship proceedings.

Aside from her Estates and Trusts practice, Ms. D’Alessio can assist clients with various transactional needs such as business formation, review and drafting of business contracts and agreements, real estate transactions such as deeds, contracts of sale, and leases, both commercial and residential.

Ms. D’Alessio has lived in Harford County since 1989 when her family moved from New York. In her free time, Ms. D’Alessio enjoys spending time and being active with her husband and young son. She is an avid hockey fan and also enjoys reading and cooking for her family and extended family.

Prior to founding D’Alessio Law, Ms. D’Alessio initially worked as an associate attorney and then as a partner at Smith, Gildea & Schmidt, LLC. Ms. D’Alessio started her legal career upon graduation from Villa Julie College, now known as Stevenson University, as a paralegal and then as an associate attorney upon graduating from Florida Coastal School of Law and successfully passing the bar exam at Bodie Law. While in law School, Ms. D’Alessio served as a judicial intern to Judge Peter O. Dearing (now retired), Probate Division of the Fourth Circuit of Duval County, Florida.

Ms. D’Alessio is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

Maryland Bar Memberships: Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), Baltimore County Bar Association (BCBA), BCBA Estate and Trust Committee, BCBA Executive Council Member since 2021, Maryland Bar Foundation Fellow.

Florida Bar Memberships: Business Law, Out-of-State Practitioners Division and Real Property Probate and Trust Law.

Pennsylvania Bar Memberships: Pennsylvania Bar Association, York County Bar Association.
